Last week, I was at a Ministry Conference and was privileged to hear many speakers. One of them that stood out was John McGee’s “Healthy Marriages, the Starting Place of a Great Family Ministry” main stage talk. He shared this quote during his talk, it is also part of this week’s suggested podcast “How Marriages Get Better.” We say: “If you want to have a great marriage, or if you want to change your marriage you want to restore your marriage, the place to start is to draw a circle around yourself and change everybody inside the circle. Just give yourself fully to working on yourself, irrespective of what anyone else does—whatever your spouse does or doesn’t do reciprocates or not—it is just give yourself fully to working on yourself—whatever that looks like.”
We encourage you to continue to work on yourself and be sure to surround yourself with people that will challenge you with biblical truth.
