Coronavirus Update

Coronavirus Update1 from Gateway Church on Vimeo.

At Gateway, we want to care for our congregation in all respects, including the physical well-being of our community. To that end, we are asking you, our congregants, to take precautions to keep yourself and others safe, especially in light of recent developments with the coronavirus (COVID-19). Now that we have confirmed cases in Ohio at the time of writing this, we are taking precautions. We also know that for many of you, the risk associated with the current coronavirus is minimal, but there are many who gather with us for whom the risks are greater, and for their sakes, we ask for all to consider their wellbeing in what you do.

At the guidance of state officials, we will not be meeting in person. We will continue to hold services online. We encourage you to download and check out the app ahead of this weekend’s services. We also encourage you to share the app with those you come in contact with. We want to help shepherd and encourage people in our community at this time. We will use all of our communication channels to let you know when in-person worship services resume.

  • Please watch the Gateway event calendar page for updates on the status of classes and other activities.
  • Check with your Life Group leader about Life Group meetings.
  • Sign up here to receive email updates.

During this time, we are asking you to help stop the spread of the virus in the following ways:

  1. Stay at home when you or any family member is sick.
  2. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
  3. Cover your sneeze or cough with a tissue or your arm, not your hand.

Gateway Live Stream:

Services are streamed live on Sundays at 9:00 and 10:45am.

You can find the service by adding the Gateway app to your Roku, Apple TV, iOS or Android device. You can also find the stream on our website under the Media Tab. Giving online or through the app is also available. We also encourage you to turn on notifications for the app to receive updates and encouragement.

We must also remember that God has not called us to live in fear but in faith. As the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For the Spirit of God does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” Our prayer is that God will fill all of us with these three gifts, no matter what comes our way.
