Welcome, Emily Peters!

Our Next Gen department would love to introduce you to Emily Peters, our new North Main Kidway Director and Youth Assistant Director. Emily Peters is stepping in to take over for Emily Bingley as she makes the transition to our communications and connect teams at Gateway.

Emily Peters grew up in the Findlay area and graduated from New Riegel Local Schools in 2018. After graduation, she started attending The Ohio State University at Marion studying Early Childhood Education. She had moved to Marion but found herself coming back to Findlay every weekend to spend time with friends and family and attend church at North Main. Findlay just felt like home. She decided that driving back and forth to Marion was silly to do every day so she made the decision to transfer to the University of Findlay in January 2020 and finished her degree this May in Early Childhood Education.

Emily is passionate about loving the people who are seen as less than or left out and sharing the hope and belonging that an identity in Jesus brings. She loves having conversations with people over coffee, ice cream, or tacos! Other favorites include oreos, salt and vinegar chips and the color yellow. In her free time, Emily enjoys being outside, reading, singing and making music. She likes to be creative and learn new things. The most recent thing she has tried and loved is hiking. A fun fact about Emily is that she recently returned from spending six weeks serving in the kitchen at Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Juneau, Alaska!

When asked how long she has been attending Gateway, Emily said, “I found Jesus at Gateway’s North Main Campus VBS in July of 2018 and have been attending ever since!” She has served at our North Main Campus in Kidway, on the Worship team, in First Impressions and on both domestic and international missions trips.

We look forward to working with Emily and getting to know her better! Please help us warmly welcome Emily when you see her in Kidway at our North Main Campus or with the youth.
