Corporate Prayers October 2026

10.11.26

Heavenly Father, we adore you as the Maker and Creator of all things, and we praise you this morning with all that we have. Just as you brought light into the darkness at creation, in your goodness you have called us out of darkness into your marvelous light. You alone are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory, and we gather this morning to worship you. Father, we confess that we do not always live in a way that honors the calling you have placed on our lives. At times, we care more about what the world thinks than what pleases you. We do not always walk in humility, integrity, and holiness. Forgive us when our words and actions fail to reflect your Son, his saving grace, and his power at work within us. Cleanse us of hypocrisy, pride, selfishness, apathy, and complacency. Jesus, help us surrender ourselves fully to you and represent you well in all that we do. Deepen our love for you, and help us live with consistency between our private lives and our public witness. May our thoughts, words, and actions align with your truth. Thank you, Father, for your amazing grace, through which you have made us your people. Thank you for choosing us, redeeming us through Jesus Christ, and welcoming us into your family. What a precious privilege it is to draw near to you! We are deeply grateful for your unfailing love and for your desire to have a personal relationship with each of us. Holy Spirit, empower us to live authentic, godly lives as members of your royal priesthood. Let our worship be sincere, our character reflect Christ, and our witness draw others to you. Grant us wisdom to represent you faithfully in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities. Help us stand for truth with grace, serve others with compassion, and faithfully pray for those who do not yet know you. Father, may everyone who hears these words be reminded of the depth of your love for them. Help us shine as lights in a dark world, declaring the goodness and greatness of the One who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. Make us people who are devoted to prayer, committed to holiness, grounded in humility, and overflowing with love. May our lives bring glory to your name and draw others to saving faith in Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

10.18.26

Almighty God, you are maker of heaven and earth, King of the universe, keeping our very existence in order and maintaining life as we know it. You keep the earth in motion and govern the skies, you hold the most majestic seat in the universe, and yet you call us to feast with you and experience your glorious presence. You have shown us your favor and acceptance by your invitation to draw near to you. As we come to you in prayer now, would you help us to encounter you in a special way that we would taste and see your goodness and love.  Lord, we see in your Word how you love to bless. In your creation, you blessed the stars over us, the earth beneath us, and you blessed us, your children. You gave us the privilege of being made in your image and, in so doing, we are now conduits of your blessing.  We are called to bless others in our homes, our community, our work place, our schools, reflecting your character and extending grace to all we come in contact with. But it is not our nature to do so. We confess that it is astonishingly effortless to extend criticism, negativity, hurt, unforgiveness, and blame. And this is to the people we love, let alone those who have mistreated us.  Jesus, you have even called us to bless those who persecute us, but we cannot do this unless your power is working within us. For we know that ultimately, Lord, it is your will to bless, and we are merely your chosen instruments. Forgive us for picking and choosing who receives generosity and kindness and love, for none of us are deserving. It is only because you are a benevolent, gracious Father that we have been blessed. You have blessed us with every spiritual blessing under the heavenly realms because of our union with Christ, your Son, and this is the greatest blessing we could ever receive. We pray that Gateway church would be known for blessing out of the abundance you have shown us. Amen.

10.25.26

Glorious God in heaven, we humbly bow our hearts before you, and we lay our crowns at the foot of your throne. You, the creator of all things, knew us and chose us before you even spoke the words that brought this entire universe into existence. How could we possibly give you anything less than all honor and glory? And yet, we do fall short of your perfect law, Father. In fact, we are very, very good at failing to uphold your Word. How quickly we forget to fear your wrath, how miserably we fail to properly respond to your endless love for us, how easily we get caught up in worldly things instead of being concerned with heavenly things. Father, we are sheep that need constant care and direction from you, our good shepherd. Forgive us for missing the mark. We thank you for sending Jesus to atone for our sins and for making it possible to be with you in eternity. Just being in your presence is what our hearts long for, Lord. Holy Spirit, we thank you for your presence, and we ask that you guide our attention and our thoughts to your word this morning.  May your word speak truth to our hearts that we might live for you.  It’s in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
