Corporate Prayers October 2025

10.5.25

Holy Father, thank you for the blessing it is to gather together as brothers and sisters and proclaim the glory of Christ our King. It’s easy to forget how necessary it is for us to sing, celebrate and encourage one another in the gospel until you’re in this room. This time shapes us and helps us to recalibrate the state of our hearts. Since the garden we find ourselves living amidst a constant din that tempts us to view ourselves more highly than we aught. We prioritize our own glory and our own sense of self. And this spills over into how we represent you to the world around us. We carry ourselves with inflated egos and stiff-necked postures. It even infects the way we interact with others. How easily we spit venom to those who disagree with us or those we believe are weaker. Father, forgive us. Forgive us for failing to, above all else, make you look glorious. Forgive us for constantly seeking to elevate ourselves rather than appealing to the humble frame you’ve called us to. Forgive us for the way we season our speech with bitterness and contempt. Spirit, help us to make you look glorious. Help us to be humble in spirit and to seek holiness in our lives. Give us words that sing the glory of Jesus Christ while lifting the spirit of those around us to the beauty of the gospel. We have a gentle Savior with a fierce love for his people. A Savior who humbled himself for us, so let it be the desire of our hearts to humble ourselves for his glory, not ours. It’s in the glorious name of Jesus Christ we have gathered and in his name we pray all these things, Amen.

10.19.25

Lord, open my lips and my mouth shall declare your praise (Ps 51:15) Lord you are over all and in all and through all. We wouldn't even open our mouths to praise you without your Spirit empowering us to do so. You are working and moving in a million ways that are unknown to us and you call us to trust you. For only you have all knowledge and are perfectly wise and just and good. We confess our limited understanding of the all things and Yet oftentimes we believe that we hold the same knowledge as you. We go about our days failing to seek or acknowledge you when in reality, nothing is apart from you. You have invited us into this work that you are doing here on earth, to share the gospel, to make disciples, to pray for one another and be in community with one another. You have given us your Spirit to lead amd guide us as we fulfill this calling but so often we lose our focus. We forget this eternal work that you have given us and we reach for the temporary. We fill our time, gratifying ourselves or giving into the world's calling. Or we think this calling is for pastors, gifted evangelists, theologians when you have placed this calling on every one of your children. Forgive us for losing sight and neglecting the Spirits prompting. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear. Make us sensitive to your voice in all of life. Remind us if the good work it is to pray for each other and carry the burdens of our brothers and sisters. It was a gift. Thank you Jesus that you didn’t neglect the calling from your Father.d thar you perfectly fulfilled the work set before you on our behalf. We hold fast to you, our salvation. Amen.

10.26.25

Father, we come before you with praise on our lips and in our hearts. We worship you and lay our crowns at your feet, for you are the creator of all things, our good father, our God of justice and mercy, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the great I AM, our defender and provider. If we were to be silent and fail to worship you, even the rocks would cry out, “glory to the Lord”, for all of creation sings your praise. Lord, we confess that at times, we do fail to sing your praise. Our thoughts get wrapped up in the daily grind and our hearts get pulled down into the muck and the mire and we slog through life without remembering your goodness and kindness and that you work for the good of those who love you. How easy it is for us to develop such a narrow view of our world that doesn’t include the bigness of our God. Father, thank you for showing us how much you care for us by sending your son to die on a cross in order that our multitude of failures might be covered by the blood of his perfect sacrifice. Please help us to keep you in view of everything we do. Help us to rely on you every minute of this life and to not forget the only one who is worthy of our worship. Spirit, please go before us now and open our hearts to your word this morning. In your name we pray, Amen.
