Corporate Prayers September 2025

9.7.25

Holy Father, thank you for the time we can gather together and remember and celebrate the blessings you’ve lavished on this church and this congregation. You’ve been so faithful and so very good to this congregation, and we have so much to be thankful for. This place that has been so dear to so many of us. It’s been a place that encourages us. Supports us. A place that builds us up and nurtures our faith. A place where we find the friction that helps us grow. It’s been a place where we find the biblical rhythms that shape our lives. Where we find community. And we take it all for granted. We take for granted the sacrifice that was made so that it may exist. The sacrifice that was made for it to hold firm through the ages. Your church is blood bought and it is precious. It’s precious to Christ, and that means it should be precious to us. This is our faith family. We are brothers and sisters bound together by the work of Jesus Christ. And so we ask, Father, forgive us. Forgive us for taking it for granted. Forgive us for our casual relationship with it. For seeing the church as just another item on the list. Forgive us for using it for anything other than the gathering of God’s people to sing and celebrate the wondrous gospel and the glorious work of Jesus Christ. And, Spirit, help us to hold this place dear. May this church family be as precious to us as it is to Jesus. And may he be glorified in the life of this place. It’s in the glorious name of Jesus Christ we have gathered and in his name we pray all these things, Amen.

9.14.25

God of mercy and grace, we lift our hearts and voices to you in adoration, thanksgiving and awe. You are holy-you alone deserve our worship. You are kind and merciful, pouring out your grace in abundance. You are all knowing- you see our hearts with perfect clarity. You have full knowledge of the depth of our sins, our motives, our judgements, our pain and our joy while we are limited in our understanding of even our own hearts. Yet we are quick to bring the verdict down on our neighbor when we disagree. We close the door of relationship and hospitality, clinging to our stance. We have caused division and disunity with our judgement and hate. Have mercy on us. For you Lord, you do not treat us as such. You welcome us in, despite our flaws and failures. You extended your hand of forgiveness and peace through your son Jesus even when we failed to understand your commands. Help us to seek peace even as we disagree. Holy Spirit, guide our words and give us gentle speech as we seek truth together. Help us to make your church look different than the world around us. Seeking reconciliation over resentment. Let us be a gracious people showing the world how gracious you are. For your Glory, Amen.

9.21.25

Father, we lift our hearts to you today. To worship you and proclaim your goodness and mercy. We sing with our brothers and sisters here and the church global declaring that you are our God. You are holy. You are gracious and we come now laying our hearts out before you. You see and know the deepest caverns where we bury our sins . Expose the wrong motives, the unloving thoughts, the hidden addictions. Bring them to the light for your glory and our good. Forgive us Lord for thinking that we don’t need to repent or ask forgiveness. For you came to this world to bring peace to our hearts. But we can’t have peace when we hide. It is hard. We confess that it is easier to ignore the conviction than it is to admit our guilt. We are quite willing to point fingers at our neighbor while we continue to conceal and protect ourselves. Have mercy on us. It is your kindness that leads us to repentance. Bring peace to our souls as we walk with you. Spirit, be with us. Lead us guide us draw us nearer. Amen.

9.28.25

Father, you are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Your name is above all. We lay our crowns before your throne this morning and humbly bow before you with a broken and contrite spirit. We are broken people, Father . . . broken because of our sin, broken because of others sin, and broken from sin we aren’t even aware of. We are weary from the effect that sin has on our lives and from struggling through it and against it by our own strength on a daily basis. We repent of our sin now and confess that we are not strong enough to conquer it on our own. We are in desperate need of a savior. Father, thank you for providing Jesus as a perfect sacrifice to remove the just punishment we deserve for our sin. Thank you for making a way for us to be in right relationship with you. Thank you for taking the broken pieces of our lives and making them into something beautiful for your kingdom and glory. Now, help continue our growth journey in your word and spirit. Bless the preaching and hearing of your Word and the rest of our worship time this morning. Continue to shape our hearts for your glory and our good. In your holy name we pray, Amen.
