So, about Gateway Life Groups..

Two Sundays ago, I had the privilege of sharing about our Life Group ministry during our Ministry Celebration, particularly as it relates to the theme of family, which is a characteristic of the disciples we are trying to make here at Gateway Church. Life Groups are so much more than just another church activity.

Life Groups are the heartbeat of our Connect value here at Gateway Church, where we intentionally pursue deeper relationships with God and with others. Over the last few months, I’ve heard countless stories of how Life Groups have been there for one another — not just in studying the Bible, but in everyday life. They’ve shown up with meals, prayed through difficult seasons, celebrated milestones, and walked together in both joy and grief. It’s in these moments that our Life Groups come alive — we’re not just learning together, we’re living out our faith as a family.

One of the things I love most is hearing from all of our Life Group members. The feedback from the survey we sent out in May was both encouraging and inspiring. So many of you shared how your group has impacted your walk with God, but also how it helped you find deep friendships. From celebrating new births to rallying around one another during hospital stays, Life Groups are where discipleship meets family, and it’s an amazing thing to witness. As I mentioned in the service, the stories are endless despite only having time to share two “family” stories. I wish I could share them all! But they are a testimony to the way God is unifying his church. 

If you’re not yet in a Life Group, I encourage you to take the next step. With 54 groups and nearly 600 people already connected, there’s room for you too. My hope is that you find the same kind of community that so many others have discovered — a place to belong, grow, and live out your faith with others who care about you.
