This week’s article mentions the story of Noah as one from the Bible that is notoriously used in children’s classrooms in churches. Seeing animals in pairs, smiling as they board the ark is an easy way to share God’s word with the littlest believers. However, there is a lot of darkness within this story as God floods the entire earth as a way to combat the wickedness of the world. This darkness is a result of sin. We soften the story to make it appropriate for our toddlers but at some point, it’s important to share the hard truth of this seemingly well-known Bible story.
