Corporate Prayers March 2026

3.8.26

A prayer from the Valley of Vision: O God, may your Spirit speak in us that we may speak to you. I have no merit, lest the merit of Jesus stand for me I am undeserving, but I look to your tender mercy I am full of infirmities, wants, sin; you are full of grace I confess my sin, my frequent sin, my wilful sin. All my powers of body and soul are defiled. A fountain of pollution is deep within my nature. There are chambers of foul images within my being. I have gone from one odious room to another, walked in a no man's land of dangerous imaginations, pried into secrets of my fallen nature. I am utterly ashamed that I AM what I am in myself. I have no green shoot in me nor fruit but thorns and thistles. I am a fading leaf that the wind drives away. I live bare and barren as a winter tree, unprofitable, fit to be hewn down and burnt. Lord, do you have mercy on me? You have struck a heavy blow at my pride, at the false god of self and I lie in pieces before you. But you have given me another Master and Lord, your Son Jesus. And now my heart is turned towards holiness, my life speeds as an arrow from the bow towards complete obedience to you. Help me in all my doings to put down sin and to humble pride, Save me from the love of the worlds and the pride of life. From everything that is natural to fallen man, and let Christs nature be seen in me day by day. Grant me grace to bear your will without repining and delight to be not only chiselled, squared or fashioned but separated from the old rock where I have been embedded so long and lifted from the quarry to the upper air, where I may be built in Christ forever. Amen.

3.22.26

Lord, our great creator and father, we lift up your holy name this morning. We don’t have all the right words to fully express your greatness. You are the infinite one, uncontainable and immeasurable. We would be foolish if we thought we could contain you in our finite minds, father. You are greater than we could ever hope to understand. When we’re faced with the stress of school or work, you are bigger. When our finances have backed us into a corner and we don’t know how we’re going to pay the bills this month, you are bigger. When our parent’s health is declining and we feel the weight of those parent-child relationship roles reversing, you are bigger. When our children’s behavior or health issues seem overwhelming and we wonder how they will ever live a normal life, you are bigger.  When our relationship with our spouse is on it’s last leg and we think we can never be reconciled, you are bigger. When we’re faced with the reality of our own mortality, you are even bigger than that, Lord. Please forgive us for losing site of your greatness. Forgive us for thinking that we are in an impossible situation. Forgive us for forgetting that you are always working behind the scenes. Forgive us for losing site of the hope found in your son, who overcame this world and who overcame sin and death and hell, so that we might be named conquerors through the powerful name of Jesus. Father, thank you for making a way for us, for without the grace and mercy you’ve shown us through the sacrifice of your son, we would be hopeless and left to die, lacking the ability to save ourselves. “Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”

3.29.26

Hosanna in the highest! Lord, we adore you, our humble King who entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey, welcomed with palm branches and shouts of praise. You are the Son of David, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, worthy of all glory, honor and worship. You come in the name of the Lord, bringing peace, righteousness, and salvation. We lift our voices with the crowds of old, crying,“Hosanna! Save us, we pray!” Yet, God we confess that our praises are often shallow and fleeting. We welcome you with our lips but resist you in our hearts. Like the crowds who cheered on Sunday and turned away by Friday, we are prone to wander, to doubt, and to deny you. We confess our sins- our pride, our selfishness, our failure to trust and obey you. Forgive us, merciful Saviour. Cleanse usand make us new.Gracious God, we thank You for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, who did not turn away from the cross- but set his face toward it in love. We thank you that he came not as a conquering warrior, but as a suffering servant, bearing our sins and securing our salvation. Thank you for your unfailing love, for your mercy that is new every morning, and for the hope we have through Christ. And now, Spirit, we ask- reign in our hearts as our true King. Teach us to follow you not only in moments of celebration but also in the way of the cross. Give us courage to proclaim your name, humility to serve as you served, and faith to trust you in all things. Prepare us in this Holy Week to remember your sacrifice and to rejoice in your resurrection. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Amen.
